    SCOPE OF CONDITIONS

    These conditions govern all services provided by Akbar Study Abroad Counsellors Private Limited (hereafter referred to as ‘The Company’ or ‘Akbar Study Abroad’). By signing the registration form, the customer/student acknowledges having read and agreed to these conditions. Any agreements differing from these conditions must be in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Akbar Study Abroad.

    BEST EFFORT BASIS

    Akbar Study Abroad does not guarantee specific results but assists customers/students in achieving their academic and career objectives. Past results represent the Company’s capabilities but should not be construed as guarantees of future success. Akbar Study Abroad works in the best interest of its students on a Best Effort basis.

    PAYMENT POLICY

    Full Payment Required Before Attending Lectures: To secure a place in the coaching program, full payment of course fees is required before attending any lectures. This ensures access to all course materials, the online test prep portal, and scheduled classes. Failure to complete the payment on time may result in forfeiture of enrollment and access to course resources.

    DEFAULTED PAYMENTS

    Akbar Study Abroad reserves the right to terminate services if the customer/student does not pay as agreed at the time of registration. Akbar Study Abroad is not liable for any consequences or damages resulting from the termination of services.

    REFUND POLICY

    Akbar study abroad will provide a refund in accordance with the following schedule should the customer decide to terminate services If a refund is requested within 48 hours of enrollment, the full amount will be refunded. However, for refund requests made after 48 hours, Akbar Study abroad will retain a minimum amount of Rs. 15,000 + GST, regardless of whether any services have been utilized to cover the services included in the complete package. The refund amount will be calculated based on the total cost of the package at the time of enrollment. 

    APPLICATION FEES

    All incidental expenses related to the application process, such as GRE/TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/DUOLINGO/DSAT Exam Fees, score submissions, courier charges, etc., will be borne by the student.

    CHANGE IN SCHEDULE AND FACULTY

    Akbar study abroad will share the lecture schedule beforehand with the students. In case of any exigency or unforeseen circumstances, lectures will be rescheduled, and students will be duly informed. Additionally, Akbar study abroad reserves the right to change faculty members as necessary, ensuring that students are informed promptly about any such changes.

    ONLINE TEST PREP PORTAL

    Online study material, topic-wise tests, and full-length tests will be provided via the Akbar study abroad Test Prep Portal. Portal validity for GRE/GMAT/DSAT online coaching students is 6 months, and 12 months for offline coaching students. Portal validity for all language tests (TOEFL/IELTS) is 6 months.

    RE-ATTENDING LECTURES

    • Online Entrance Exam Coaching Students: Valid for SIX MONTHS from the date of enrollment. Reattending classes after six months incurs a charge of 50% of the current GRE fees excluding GST.
    • Offline Entrance Exam Coaching Students: Valid for ONE YEAR from the date of enrollment. Reattending classes after one year incurs a charge of 50% of the current GRE fees excluding GST.

    CLASSROOM LECTURES

    Students enrolled in Online Coaching who wish to attend Offline Classes must pay the fee difference prevailing at the relevant time.

    NON-TRANSFERABLE ACCESS

    Students are strictly prohibited from sharing portal access credentials (username and password). Each student is given individual access to the online portal for personal educational use only. Sharing login information or allowing others to use your account violates terms of service and can result in immediate termination of access, dismissal from the course, and potential legal action.
     

    DEFERRING COUNSELLING SERVICES

    Akbar study abroad reserves the right to terminate services if the customer/student does not pay as agreed at the time of registration. Akbar study abroad is not liable for any consequences or damages resulting from the termination of services.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR DEFERRAL

    • If the customer/student initiated the application process but did not apply to any school and decides to defer, counseling services will continue without any additional charges provided it is the same course/field.
    • If the customer/student has completed SOP drafting process and decided to defer his decision to the following year, Akbar study abroad will charge up to 50% of the fees for the services that are duplicated.
    • If the customer/student has received admit/s and decided to defer his decision to the following year, Akbar study abroad will charge up to 75% of the fees for the services that are duplicated.
    • If the customer/student does not adhere to the university selection list provided by Akbar study abroad and applies to his selected universities (i.e., only to ambitious and super-ambitious schools) and does not receive admission and requires Akbar study abroad’s assistance in university selection, drafting SOP, LOR, Resume, etc., Akbar study abroad will charge 75% of the fees for the services that are duplicated.

    RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CONDUCTING THE EDUCATION ABROAD APPLICATION PROCESS

    To prepare students for pursuing education abroad, we strongly recommend that the application process be conducted exclusively with the student. Family members may ask for periodic updates and guidance concerning finances, documentation, etc.

    DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR

    Any use of profanity or disrespectful language/behavior towards Akbare study abroad employees will be considered sufficient grounds for termination of services without any refund.
    Akbar study abroad Counsellors Private Limited reserves all rights to make any changes in the policy. Students will be notified of any updates or modifications as necessary.
